ARTIST PROFILE

I work in a range of media, but I prefer to work with colored pencils and acrylic paint. In my art, I like to capture the difference between light and dark glass reflections. I like the interplay of contrasting themes. I can always find beauty between dark and light, whether in mundane objects or human figures. The light and dark also represent to me my own experience with pain and healing, from the darkest moments of my life to breaking through to healing and recovery. In each piece, I try to express a fragment of myself, everything that surrounds me and interests me, and what I’m experiencing at that time.
